The Limited-edition has some terrific physical extras, as it comes with a pair of stylish cufflinks, vinyl stickers, three art cards of the main characters, a 40-page art book, and a notepad featuring Anya Forger’s meme-generating face. For the digital extras, both editions have clean opening and closing credit sequences, interviews with the voice actors, and a music video.
In case you missed it when it first debuted, Spy X Family has been a big hit with anime fans. Set in a fictional nation, the show follows secret agent Twilight as he goes behind enemy lines and pretends to be a family man. It’s not long before Twilight finds his family, but the twist here is that he doesn’t know that his adopted daughter has psychic powers or that his wife is secretly an assassin. Also, there’s a dog who can see the future.
The show has received critical acclaim for its adaptation of the popular manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo, and this Blu-ray includes the 13 episodes from the second half of the first season.
